About
The report estimated that over 1.4 million children ages 5 years old to 11 years old were working in agriculture in cocoa-growing areas, approximately 800,000 of them engaged in hazardous work, including working with agricultural chemicals, carrying heavy loads, and working with sharp tools. As the chocolate industry has grown over the years, so has the demand for cheap cocoa. Most cocoa farmers earn less than $1 per day, an income below the extreme poverty line. As a result, they often resort to the use of child labor to keep their prices competitive.
My team create a chocolate brand and launch creative campaigns to promote fair trade chocolate. Our brand's goal is to provide delicious chocolate while also raising awareness with engaging campaigns, encouraging people to learn more about the importance of choosing
fair-trade chocolate.
